An Evolution of artistic passion

Asian Artique started because of my passion for Asian Art and Antiques. This work has always filled my heart and soul with wonder, peace and what feels like a distant memory of home and love.

As far back as I can remember, I was infatuated with the beauty of all things Asian, the art, the food and the culture. In second grade, a lady came to my school and taught us Sumie Painting, (Chinese brush painting). After her short lecture and demonstration, we were able to try our hand at this technique. Already a young artist, I was excited about this new technique. For weeks I practiced making small narrow paintings. Little did I know, I was painting tanzaku size paintings. This was just a start of a life long love affair with Asian art.

I later received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. In the early 90's, I lived in Korea where my love for Asian Art was solidified. On weekends I would meander through country towns visiting antique shops and finding street artists. I was in awe of the craftsmanship, the use of materials and the spirit that emanated from each piece whether is was a sculpture, painting, or furniture.

In 2000, I took my passion beyond collecting and opened an Asian antique store. It was a dream come true. I added antique shows, home shows and cultural festivals to the mix. Traveling for work proved more successful. Eventually I gave up the store and now travel around the U.S.A. attending Asia festivals and cultural events. I mainly focus on my favorite of the Asian arts, Japanese Scrolls,(Kakejiku). You will also find a variety of Asian arts in this site to fill your desire for shape, color, form and spirit. You can visit me in cities around the country selling at Japanese festivals, Asian festivals, Bonsai Conferences and antique shows. Please check out my events calendar to find an event near you.

As you browse remember not everything I have is posted. What I bring to a show is not on these pages. If you are seeking something specific please email or call with your request. I will do my best to find you the perfect piece.
